8/26/2018 4 Comments PEARLToday we meet Pearl and her family from Miami, Florida. Pearl is a super tiny teacup Chihuahua who was born without her two front legs. She is also missing most of the nails on her hind paws, and her tail has a bend at the end. These deformities are likely to have been the result of Pearls mom, who was also a very small teacup Chihuahua, carrying a litter of three puppies. This was likely to have been too many for her to carry without complications.
Pearls mom, Carrie tells us how Pearl came into their life and the daily challenges of caring for a dog with limb deformities.

Today we meet the incredible Tanya and her beautiful boy Joey. Joey is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who was found at 6 weeks of age with his rear legs intentionally cut off. Tanya tells us about her experience adopting a special needs pup and shares some great advice for others with an amputee dog. Tanya has been so inspired by her experience adopting a special needs dog that she has started a non-profit called Joey's P.A.W. (P.A.W. stands for Prosthetic and Wheelchairs). They provide partial or full funds for dogs that are in need of a prosthetic or a wheelchair. More about Joey’s P.A.W and how you can support their cause later. What is a regular day like with a double amputee dog?3/16/2018 11 Comments TUXToday we talk to Rachel about life with Tux, her three legged French Bulldog.
