Mobility aids for blind dogs

Muffin's Halo

There seem to be two schools of thought when it comes to using a halo to assist blind dogs. The benefits of using a halo for mobility in blind dogs will depend entirely on your dogs personality, lifestyle and environment, as well as their journey to becoming blind.

Blind Dog Bumper Collars also produce another halo-style collar for blind dogs.
Muffins Halo for blind dogs is a great product for a pet that has recently gone blind. It helps prevent them from bumping into things! Leo doesn't mind wearing it at all and it definitely stops him from injuring his head when he walks around the house.

Don't buy them a bumper or halo: touch is one of the few senses they have left and they need to feel things to get information. If they have a big piece of wire or plastic around their body that's one more sense that has been robbed of them.

We have had a great experience with a front lead harness as it helps us direct Arlo where to walk.       @arlo.wonderpup
This company is rock solid. We've always used their collars/leashes with our other dogs.  @noodsterscootster
